Illicit liquor destroyed by Sootea police

JAMUGURIHAT: Sootea police, under the guidance of Shyamol Jyoti Saikia, officer in-charge of Sootea PS, has shown zero tolerance against illicit liquor dealers and traders in recent days. A team of Sootea police, in association with the team of the excise department of Biswanath, had conducted an operation against illicit liquor vendors at Sapekhati area to the north of Sootea on Wednesday and destroyed 2,500 litres of country liquor and the vessels used for preparing country liquor.
