Illicit liquor seized at Daimukhiya TE under Doomdooma PS; two held

TINSUKIA: At a time when Assam Tea Tribes Students' Association (ATTSA) is keeping a close vigil on illicit liquor trade in the tea garden belt in the wake of distribution of bonus, the activists of ATTSA intercepted a vehicle bearing number AS 23H 5211 at Daimukhiya TE under Doomdooma PS and detected containers filled with illicit liquor inside the vehicle and detained two persons on Friday. The Excise department, on being informed, arrived at the site and seized 120 litres of illicit country liquor (sulai) and arrested two persons.
