Implementation of Assam Vision Documents in Dibrugarh district

DIBRUGARH: Under the State Government's Assam Vision Documents, steps have been taken for its successful implementation in Dibrugarh district. To include plan and projects for overall development of the respective constituencies in the district, a meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner's conference room on Friday with Deputy Commissioner Pallav Gopal Jha in the chair.

MLAs Prasanta Phukan, Ponakon Boruah and Teros Gowala of Dibrugarh, Chabua, Duliajan LACs respectively and representatives of the Minister of Sports and Youth Welfare, Bimal Bora and MLA of Lahowal LAC took part at the meeting. In their deliberation, they highlighted their plans and projects towards development of their respective constituencies that are to be included in Assam Vision Documents for successful implementation in the next five years. The meeting unanimously resolved to prepare short-term and long-term projects for each constituency based on suggestions offers by people of the respective LAC.

In the first phase, short-term projects are to be prepared for solution of regular and flashing problems of the constituency within two years. The meeting gave emphasis on including long-term projects in the second phase. People can post their suggestions and views on plans and projects for overall development of their respective constituency under Document vision of Dibrugarh district at dc-dibrugarh@nic.in. District Development Commissioner Partha Pratim Bairagi also graced the meeting.
