Importance And Overall Development of Biotechnology Stressed By Dr. T Madan Mohan

JORHAT: “The Japanese work really hard. Earlier they did not take leave on Saturdays and Sundays, but now they have gradually started taking leave. They are fully dedicated to work. This kind of work culture is needed in India. The new generation of scientists and people should have this kind enthusiasm for development and hard work. The Department of Biotechnology is dedicated to promote the north-eastern region because this region has opportunities for development and the DBT centres are playing an active role in it,” said Dr. T Madan Mohan, consultant and adviser of NERBPMC-DBT, Government of India, during his guest of honour address in the inaugural session of a national workshop on ‘Potential Biotechnology Programmes using Bio-resources of the north-eastern region’ organized by the North East Centre for Agricultural Bio Technology on Thursday.
