NAHARKATIA: Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited, Namrup is the pioneer in India in production of urea from natural gas. Presently, only Namrup-III group of plants are in operation.

After the joining of Chairman & Managing Director, Siba Prasad Mohanty, BVFCL has taken initiative to widen its product basket and steps were initiated for establishment of a Water Soluble NPK 19:19:19 fertilizer production plant of 3000 MT per annum capacity, as well as establishment of a Single Super Phosphate (SSP) manufacturing facility of 400 MTPD capacity within the existing premises.

With the target of establishment of the NPK 19:19:19 plant within a year, BVFCL officials started their jobs related to the studies of the NPK fertiliser, civil construction, procurement of chemicals and equipment in the month of February, 2022. Commissioning process of the Plant started from the month of December, 2022 and the same has been completed on January, 2023.

The plant will be operated in batch process to produce up to 10.00 MT per day. Required manpower for the project operation as well as maintenance has been redeployed from the other existing units of BVFCL. The new plant has been established by utilizing in-house expertise and own funding. The entire product will be marketed through existing wide dealers network of the company.
