Indefinite curfew partially lifted in Dhekiajuli Police Station areas

DHEKIAJULI/TEZPUR: The indefinite curfew which was imposed in Dhekiajuli Police Station areas was lifted partially on Monday at 2 pm by Sonitpur Deputy Commissioner Manvendra Pratap Singh by an order under section 144 of Cr. P.C. 1973. But the curfew imposed in Thelamara Police Station areas will continue without any change.

As per the order, the ongoing curfew will continue from 6 pm to 6 am. However, in the day time from 6 am to 6 pm, the curfew will be relaxed for the general public. The movement of individuals will remain strictly prohibited between 6 pm to 6 am. On Saturday and Sunday, complete lockdown will continue. Meanwhile, on Monday no untoward incident was reported from any part of the curfew-bound areas of Thelamara and Dhekiajuli Police Station areas.
