India has changed after 2014: Bharatiya Janata Party president JP Nadda

SIVASAGAR: Despite bad weather, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda arrived in Sivasagar on Sunday and addressed a mega rally commemorating nine years of the Modi government. The event witnessed a massive turnout of party supporters, with several leaders, MLAs, MPs, and ministers, extending a warm welcome to Nadda.

Addressing a massive crowd at Durlov Chandra Gogoi HS School field under Amguri LAC in the Sivasagar district, Nadda slammed the Indian National Congress. He stated, “Congress, during its rule was mired in corruption, nepotism and did not believe in secularism. Before 2014, India was plagued by various scams and couldn’t make its own decision,” Nadda stated.

However, Nadda emphasized that the BJP stands for development, highways, railways, airways, internet connectivity, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and welfare of the poor. He reiterated that the environment in every sphere in India has changed after 2014. He said during the nine years’ rule of the BJP-led government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had strived to make the country strongest in the world.

Speaking about India’s development, Nadda said, “A new chapter of development has begun under the leadership of Modi. India is growing at a rapid pace in the economy, education and other sectors. Around 29 km of national highways have been constructed in a day. The Modi government is now ready to give befitting reply to whosoever looks at India in a bad way. The rate of price rise in India is lower than in other countries. The rate of development is high. There is no international forum where India does not have representation.”

Nadda was accompanied by state president Bhabesh Kalita, ministers Dr Ranoj Pegu and Jogen Mohan, MPs Tapan Kumar Gogoi and Kamakhya Prasad Tasa and MLAs Sushanta Borgohain and Rupjyoti Kurmi.
