Indian Army conducts ex-servicemen interaction programme in Charaideo district

GUWAHATI: The Indian Army organized an interaction programme with ex-servicemen at Sapekhati in Charaideo district on Sunday. Main objective of the event was to disseminate various welfare schemes to the veterans, their next of kin and veer naris and also to address their grievances. The event saw participation by more than 120 veterans along with their family members and veer naris hailing from Charaideo district. The programme contributed to ameliorating the problems faced by the veterans and veer naris. It also gave a platform to express their concerns directly to the concerned officials. The ex-servicemen and veer naris appreciated this initiative by Army and expressed gratitude for addressing their grievances, stated a press release.
