Indian Army pays insured money to deceased soldier’s family in Biswanath Chariali

Biswanath Chariali: The Indian Army has paid Rs 24,85,488 to the family members of deceased soldier Dhan Bodo of No. 1 Bhimajuli Bathoupuri village under Biswanath Chariali police station in Biswanath district.

Mahindra Singh, an officer with 12 Jammu Kashmir Rifles, paid the insured money to his wife Sonaishree Bodo in the presence of the branch manager of the Biswanath Chariali branch of State Bank of India at the Balipukhuri camp of Assam Rifles, here. Dhan Bodo’s father Lakshman Bodo, mother Munu Bodo, gaon burha of Bhimajuli village, Chandra Singha Be and other officials of the administration were present on the occasion. Dhan Bodo had died after falling down from a hill in Kashmir while working as a porter in the army on October 14 last year.
