GUWAHATI: The Indian Army as part of Op SADBHAVANA, dedicated two projects to provide drinking water at Amlaiguri and Khairajangal villages of Udalguri district. The projects include constructing a borewell and associated infrastructure. The projects were inaugurated in the presence of representatives of civil administration on March 17.

The projects have been welcomed by locals with enthusiasm and zest, as during summer, the villages face acute shortage of water and the villagers have to ferry water from far places. These projects fulfill the requirement of potable drinking water to the villagers for years to come. This effort by Indian Army has been highly appreciated by the locals as it positively impacts their daily lives with easy access to basic amenities. Sustained and proactive approach in undertaking such projects has enhanced the goodwill of GAJRAJ CORPS among the populace, stated a release.
