Tezpur/MANGALDAI: Indian Army under Operation Sadbhavana has organized an all-girls cycling expedition from Udalguri to Dirang. This trip will provide an opportunity to 20 teenaged girls hailing from various regions of the Northeast to experience an adventurous way of life.

The aim of the trip is to create awareness amongst the students about unity, diversity and cultural fabric of the nation. The army is using adventure sports activities like cycling to come closer to the populace and develop a bond of mutual faith and truth. An exclusive girls' expedition will provide an excellent opportunity to students in their formative years towards women empowerment. The expedition was flagged off at Rangiya Military Station on Nov 5. During the duration of the expedition, the team will be visiting picturesque Sengti Valley, local monasteries around Bomdila and tribal Dzong village. The team will be traversing through Balemu, Kalakatang, Rupa, and Bomdila. The students will also be actively participating in presenting social mimes on regional & national issues.
