Indian Hog Deer poachers arrested in Biswanath Chariali

BISWANATH CHARIALI: Acting on a tip-off regarding hunting of Indian Hog Deer (Schedule-1 species), a search operation was conducted jointly by staff of Crime Investigation Range, Biswanath Chariali with Behali PS under the leadership of SI Raju Dowarah and Fr-1 Raju Gogoi. Two persons were apprehended while cooking the meat of Indian Hog Deer in their farm land near the river bank. They have been identified as Biswajit Baruah of Kachokotoa, Rangsali village and Akaman Lora Borah of Rangsali Doloni, Behali.
