Indian Medical Association, Kokrajhar observed National Doctors’ Day observed

Along with the rest of the country, the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Kokrajhar branch along with AMSA, Kokrajhar unit celebrated the National Doctors’ Day on Saturday at RN Brahma Civil Hospital, Kokrajhar.

KOKRAJHAR: Along with the rest of the country, the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Kokrajhar branch along with AMSA, Kokrajhar unit celebrated the National Doctors’ Day on Saturday at RN Brahma Civil Hospital, Kokrajhar. The main function was organized at RN Brahma Civil Hospital, Kokrajhar in the morning. In the function Dr. A K Brahma, IMA president, Dr. A S Sarma, AMSA president, Dr. Umesh Phanshu, Director Health, BTC, Dr. D. Bhowal, Secretary, IMA and Dr. N R Biswas were present in the programme. After the welcome address given by Dr. D. Bhowal, lighting of lamp and floral tribute was paid to Dr. Bidhan Ch. Roy followed by Saraswati Bandana. Dr. A K Brahma and others discussed on the life and dedication of Dr. B C Roy. All senior and retired doctors were remembered and felicitated. The doctors who were felicitated on the occasion were-Dr. Man Sing Narzary, Dr. Manjil Nath, Dr. C K Daimary, Dr. Ananda Narzary, Dr. J C Baro, Dr. A K Brahma, Dr. J. Mahela, Dr. Anubha Das, Dr. J. Ahmed and Dr. R C Debnath.

Later, a team of doctors from various hospitals of Kokrajhar district visited Shanti Old Age Home at Charaikhola under the banner of IMA, Kokrajhar branch and AMSA, Kokrajhar unit. They donated few basic necessities like walking sticks, adult diapers etc. to the elderly inmates as a part of National Doctors’ Day celebrations.
