Indo-Bhutan co-ordination meet held in Bhairabkunda of Udalguri district

TANGLA: In a bid to boost the mutual coordination and trust between India and Bhutan, a coordination meet was held between the stakeholders of both the nations at Daifam Gate Inspection Bungalow in Bhairabkunda of the Udalguri district on Wednesday.

The delegation of Bhutan Royal Government was led by Samdrup Jongkhar Deputy Commissioner, Tasi Wangmo; Superintendent of Police, Samdrup Jongkhar; Chogyal Drupka while the delegation from India was led by Commandant 61st Bn SSB Bhairabkunda, Rajkumar Xalxo; and Commandant 23rd Bn SSB Lapool, SK Awadhiya.

The representatives of the both the nations discussed about border management to maintain peace, security and healthy integration along the border region and special emphasis was laid on issues related to smuggling of wild animals and their parts, smooth movement of citizens of both the countries on the border, encroachment on international border, and maintaining mutual coordination among the people of Indo-Bhutan border area.
