Industry bodies celebrate 73rd Independence Day at Namrup BVFCL Gandhi Maidam

Namrup: The 73rd Independence Day was celebrated on Thursday at Namrup BVFCL Gandhi Maidam with much pomp and gaiety. The prime focus was the BVFCL Gandhi field where BVFCL Chief Managing Director started the programme by offering flower at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi. The national flag was unfurled by CMD and the students sang the national anthem. The speech was delivered by Chief Managing Director Sanjai Maheshwari who tried to invigorate true patriotism saying, “BVFCL Namrup has been striving towards nation’s welfare and growth. In fact, we have been facing even more serious problems due to the old age plant causing the unscheduled breakdown of key equipment and machinery. I am happy to mention that our long-cherished Namrup-IV is under active consideration of Government of India.” On the other hand, Independence Day was also celebrated at various places such as Dilli forest beat office Namrup at 7.30 am by Beat officer of Namrup Dilli beat forest office Pranab Kalita. AT APL flag was unfurled by Managing Director Ratul Bordoloi and at Namrup Thermal Power Station GM Sunit Kumar Neog unfurled the national flag.
