Inspector of Schools, Golaghat issued show-cause notice to Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya

GOLAGHAT: The Inspector of Schools, Golaghat issued a show-cause notice to Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya on Tuesday regarding increase in fees structure of the school.

According to source, the Inspector of Schools of Golaghat issued a show cause notice to Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya and ordered to submit written statement regarding increase in fees structure in the school within a stipulated time. Notably, few days back some the guardians of students of the school lodged a complaint to the Inspector of Schools regarding increase of fees structure of the school during the COVID-19 pandemic situation. They approached the Inspector of Schools with a complaint letter and sought intervention on the alleged increase in admission fee and tuition fees by the school authority. As per government instructions and guidelines, no private school can increase the fees structure during the ongoing pandemic situation. But without caring for the government guidelines, the school authority increased the fees structure of the current academic session. The guardians demanded the district administration as well as the department concerned to intervene in this regard.
