International Day of Disabled Persons observed in Jorhat

JORHAT: The International Day of Disabled Persons was observed at Prerona, the spastic society of eastern India, at Cinnamora in Jorhat on Tuesday.

Various competitions along with sports activities and events among parents and guardians were held on the occasion. Winners were offered gift hampers which really thrilled and inspired the students, said Syra Rahman the co-coordinator of the institute. The programme was attended by various prominent personalities who also extended gifts to purchase implements, gadgets and teaching materials for the special children, said Rahman.
