DIBRUGARH: Dibrugarh University is conducting an entrance test for the International Earth Science Olympiad, 2023. The examination is an annual event under the aegis of Geological Society of India, Bangalore- a prestigious non-governmental/non-profit organization promoting the Earth Science education and researches in India.
Students of class X, XI and XII (as on August, 2023 or born after 01/07/2005) will be eligible to sit in the examination. A fee of Rs. 150/- (one hundred fifty) only in cash will be charged from the students along with the application forms. Application forms and syllabus can be downloaded from www.geosoindia.org/index.php/ieso. The filled-in forms can be submitted to Dr. Pranjit Kalita, Centre In-Charge and Asst. Professor. Department of Applied Geology, Dibrugarh University (Ph. 8638904684, pranjit.kalita84@gmail.com) or Dr. Jitu Ranajn Chetia, Convenor, Department of Chemistry (ph: 9954481645, jituranjan44@gmail.com) of Dibrugarh University on or before 28th of April 2023.
The examination will be held from 10:30 am on May 20 in the university campus. A total of 25 students will be selected across the country from this examination for 25 days training camp in the month of June-July, 2023 out of which the top eight students will take part in the International Olympiad. Interested eligible students of the region are hereby appealed to sit in the examination of international repute.
