International Mathematics Day observed in Khumtai HS School, Golaghat

GOLAGHAT: Under the aegis of Assam Academy of Mathematics Golaghat branch and in association with Khumtai HS School, International Mathematics Day 2021 was observed on Sunday in the Khumtai HS School premises.

The programme was conducted by a member of Assam Academy of Mathematics Golaghat branch and facilitator, Manisha Deka. A meeting was held on the occasion which was presided over by the president of Assam Academy of Mathematics Golaghat Branch, Dr. Bipul Chandra Bhuyan.

Former secretary Siddhartha Pratim Gogoi spoke about the upcoming 'Ganit Mela 2021' and also about widespread events of Mathematics education to the students present in the programme. Assistant Professor from Khumtai Joya Gogoi College, Bijit Bora delivered a speech on how to study Mathematics and how to overcome the fear related to it. A teacher from Numaligarh High School and an executive member of the Academy, Gayatri Handique organized a workshop.

In the programme, joint secretary of Assam Academy of Mathematics Golaghat Branch, Dhan Pradhan along with heads of eight schools, 130 students and five parents were present.
