International webinar of effective writing held in PNGB Government Model College

DOOMDOOMA: Padmanath Gohain Baruah (PNGB) Government Model College, Kakopather, in collaboration with Ledo College, Margherita, organized an international webinar on 'Role of Effective Writing in Today's World : Career and Beyond' on Thursday.

Lavita Saikia, a writer and blogger from the USA, was the main speaker of the event. She spoke on the changes in today's writing styles to meet the emerging needs of social media and the different career choices that writers had before them today. Dr Thanu Ram Majinder, Principal of PNGB Government Model College, in his inaugural speech emphasized the importance of effective writing in different platforms and how it would motivate the students to make their mark.

Dr KP Upadhyaya, Principal of Ledo College, in his welcome address emphasized the importance of reading and writing habits among the students and cited examples of great Indian philosophers to draw inspiration from them. Dr. Panchi Pathak and Dr Nazimuddin Siddique, faculties of the Sociology department, were the convener-cum-host and the co-ordinator-cum-moderator respectively of the webinar.
