DIBRUGARH: One-day international workshop on fundamentals of filmmaking, organized by the Women Cell of 'Assam College Teachers' Association'(ACTA) DHSK Commerce College, here on Wednesday concluded successfully. The workshop was organised in collaboration with the ACTA Dibrugarh zone and the 'Internal Quality Assurance Cell'(IQAC) of the host college. Vice President of Woman's cell Dr Amiya Pator formally inaugurated the workshop . While delivering a speech general secretary of ACTA, Dr Jayanta Baruah highlighted the aim of the workshop and said that though ACTA is a strong teachers' organization, it also works for our students' careers. Such workshops will help students to make their careers in filmmaking.

Dr. Kiran Hazarika, member of UGC and principal of Tengakhat College graced the function as the chief guest.

Four technical sessions were held at the workshop. Mridupawan Bora, Rayhan Rafique Ahmed (through online mode from Dubai), Rakesh Changmai and Tridib Konwar delivered training to the participants on "Fundamentals of Filmmaking, "Cinematic Sound Design & Film Score", "Editing" as well as "Cinematography and Cinema Lights" respectively.

Over one hundred trainees consisting of students, academics, researchers and other film lovers were distributed certificates of participation in the valedictory session held in presence of Prof. Pranjal Gogoi, Academic Secretary, ACTA.

Earlier, Prof. Sailen Gogoi, vice-principal of the organizing college delivered the welcome address while Prof. Jatindranath Gogoi, president, ACTA, Dibrugarh zone offered the vote of thanks. Swapna Nath Upadhyaya, secretary, woman's cell, ACTA and the convener of this first international workshop of ACTA Women Cell, anchored the inaugural function.

At the outset, Dr. Bidisha Mahanta, an assistant professor of the host college presented a Borgeet to the audience. Dr. Tanka Prasad Upadhyaya, co-ordinator of the IQAC of the host college expressed gratitude to the president of ACTA Prof. Himangshu Maral and the Principal of the college Dr.K.M.Bhagawati and others for making the workshop successful.
