JAGIROAD: With the formation of new government in the State by Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, Joint Action Committee for Registered Unions (JACRU) demanded immediate action on revival of Nagaon and Cachar Paper Mills to restore sources of employments for lakhs of youths and release of all pending legitimate dues to the workers to save their lives as already 85 have died, including four suicides, during the previous tenure of the NDA-led government in Assam.
JACRU president and secretary, Manobenra Chakravarty and Ananda Bordoloi respectively expressed confidence on the dynamic leadership of Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and desired fulfillment of the renewed commitments made by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and declaration given through the Sankalpa Patra issued before the 2021 assembly elections.
