Jagrata Suraksha Samaj Sivasagar District Committee demand for exemption of micro finance loans

DEMOW: The members of Jagrata Suraksha Samaj Sivasagar District Committee staged protest in Dehajan Juria Habi Gaon on Thursday demanding exemption of micro finance loans.

During the election campaign, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma had said that those who could not repay loans need not worry as the government would take care of the loan amount. But now that Dispur has set criteria for waiving micro finance loans, the members of Jagrata Suraksha Samaj Sivasagar District Committee have opposed it. The members of Jagrata Suraksha Samaj Sivasagar District Committee have appealed to Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma to fulfil the promises which he had made. In the protest programme, Bonti Konwar, president, and Namiti Gowala, secretary of Jagrata Suraksha Samaj Sivasagar District Committee, were present.
