Jail inmate dies in Udalguri under Tangla Police Station

TANGLA: An under trial prisoner in Udalguri district jail died under mysterious circumstances at about 8 pm on Wednesday.

The deceased, identified as Sanjoy Boro (31), a native of Chenipara No. 1 village under Tangla PS in Udalguri, was accused of killing his father vide Tangla PS case no. 14/20 under IPC 302. He was facing trial since January 20 of this year. He was rushed to Udalguri Civil Hospital where he was declared brought dead. The doctors have suspected cardiac arrest to be the cause of death.
