It is to be noted here that some of the businessmen and religious-minded people had constructed a Shiva Mandir at Jamuguri centre in 1986. This year the foundation day of the Shiv Mandir will be celebrated on February 28 and Shivaratri on March 1.

For the smooth functioning of two separate occasions, a new body was formed with Madhab Ojha, Dilip Kumar Bhattacharjya, Minku Kalita, Tapan Hazarika, Pulak Sarma and Haren Borthakur as advisors, Shivaratan Sarma as president, Govinda Paul as vice president, Uttam Paul and Bijoy Sarma as secretaries along with other executive members.
