Guwahati: There are many countries in the world where flood is a big problem. As soon as the rainy season comes, cities start getting submerged in the rainwater. Especially in some Asian countries, this problem brings life to a standstill. To deal with such situations, a house development company Ichijo Komuten in Japan, one of the flood-prone countries, has found a very good solution to the problem.

House developer Ichijo Komuten from Japan has designed a unique house, which is said to be waterproof. As per reports, as soon as the rains and floods come, the house will rise above the ground and float. Interestingly, all the architecture companies of the world are looking for a solution for this, so some have come up with a solution, which is hitting headlines.

The House Will Float In The Flood

The house is capable of handling floods and regarding the same and are in discussion all over the country. Reportedly, the demo of the same has been shown on TBS TV station. The house looks like a normal house, but when the water started filling up around it, the house slowly starts rising upwards. On TV itself, people say that seeing the house, rose a few inches above the ground and started swimming.

The house is connected by thick iron rods and cables to the ground which lifts the house upwards when floods occur and affix it back to the ground as soon as the flood is over. As the water gets less, the house comes back to its old position.

Special plumbing has been done in the house which stops water from entering the house through special valves. In a bid to avoid any short circuit, all the electric things have been installed upwards, so that water does not come in contact with the electrical stuff. The house can float at a height of up to 5 meters.

Can Assam Adopt The Same?

Going by the flood situation in Assam has already affected a lot of people disrupting normal life and public properties in the state. But the rain in lower Assam and Bhutan last night led to a rise in water levels in a few areas.

Notably, if the rain continues for a few days more, then the situation may escalate further in the state. In such a scenario, if Assam adopts the same technology, many lives can be saved and the hurdles faced by the people can be reduced to some extent.

However, to what extent this technology is feasible in the state only engineers can tell but if it can be installed in flood-hit areas in Assam, then, in that case, it definitely reduces the difficulties of the commoners to some extent, which they often face every year during monsoon season.

Meanwhile, the worst-affected Barpeta and Bajali districts, where people started to return to their houses from relief camps, are a confused lot. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma visited the two districts today. The local people apprised him of the resurge of the water level.

Flood water washed away the state highway connecting Pathsala and Manas, and the Brahmaputra gobbled up the Bhangnamari Sar Police Station under the Borkhetri LAC in the Nalbari district. It was a two-story building. The police personnel had removed all documents and furniture on June 26.
