Jitendra Singh campaigns for Congress candidate in Thowra

DEMOW: With five days left for the bye-election in Thowra constituency, an election campaign meeting was organized in Demow Athabari Tea Estate Mukti Juddhya Malati Orang Auditorium on Sunday where Jitendra Singh, general secretary of Nikhil Bharat Congress Committee, campaigned for Manuranjan Konwar, the INC candidate for the bye-election in Thowra constituency.

Jitendra Singh was given a warm welcome with jhumur dance in Demow Athabari on Sunday. Manuranjan Konwar gave the welcome speech. He assured that he would try to solve the burning problems of Thowra constituency.

Jitendra Singh told media persons here on Sunday that the public was unhappy and angry as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government had made big promises before the 2021 Assembly elections but had not fulfilled these promises as yet. Other senior Congress leaders were also present during the election campaign meeting.
