Jorhat police arrested two persons for destroying government property

JORHAT: Two persons were arrested by Jorhat Police and sent to judicial custody for violence and instigating others to burn tyres in public places and pelting stones on government property and vehicles.

The arrests were made based on video footage collected between December 10 to December 20, said police sources.

The arrested persons are Dadu Duwara and Nizamuddin Ali, booked under Teak police station case no. 694/19 under Section 120 (B), 153, 124, and 384. They were sent to Jorhat Central Jail on Tuesday.
