Numaligarh: After the incident of the wreckage of four houses in the villages of No.4 Rangbang and Jackson Grant village on Wednesday, elephants again crushed one school building on Thursday night at Buragohainkhat under Bukhial Forest Beat of Golaghat forest division. The elephants crushed the concrete walls of Buragohainkhat M.E. School and took away rice bags of school mid-day meal scheme. After the rampage of the elephants, the school building is severely damaged. The students, their guardians and teachers are saddened with the wreckage of the school done by the wild elephants. The people are still horrified as the herd is taking shelter at a nearby tea garden. People of the area demanded the forest officials to take adequate measures to tackle the elephant rampage. It’s been months since presence of wild elephant herds at Numaligarh-Morangi have been making news headlines simultaneously, but not a single effort has been taken by the Forest department to tackle the jumbo-man conflict.
