JUNMONI RABHA DEATH CASE: CBI carries out raid at Morikolong outpost

NAGAON: The CBI team who is camping at Nagaon circuit house for over months, on Wednesday carried out a special raid at Morikolong police outpost to find out clues to the mysterious ‘death’ of SI Junmoni Rabha and also quizzed a local scribe of a satalite Assamese news channel in connection with the case.

Sources claimed that the CBI technical experts rushed to the police outpost early this morning here and directed the officials as well as other police personnel of the police outpost to stay outside the outpost following which the experts of the central investigation agency carried out a massive raid in the police outpost till the afternoon. During the raid the technical experts from the investigation agency collected fingerprints from the belongings of the outpost, sources added.

Meanwhile, the central investigative agency also called on a local scribe of a satalite Assamese news channel on Tuesday evening to its temporary office at Nagaon circuit house where the officials of the central investigative agency quizzed the scribe for several hours.

The scribe went to Nagaon PS on that fatal night during which the body of SI Junmoni Rabha was found inside her personal car near Sorubhogia under Jakhalabandha PS after a suspicious road mishap.
