Kali Puja Celebration in Demow

DEMOW: Kali Puja celebration started in Demow from Sunday. The idols of Goddess Kali were brought to the mandaps on Sunday.

Kali Puja, which is celebrated near Demow State Bank of India (SBI), Demow branch, is the oldest Puja in Demow area. The banana tree was installed in front of business establishments of Demow on Sunday and during the evening, earthen lamps were lit in houses and business establishments in Demow and its surrounding areas. As Diwali is the festival of lights, houses and business establishments of Demow were decorated with colorful lights. Children were seen bursting crackers in the evening.
