Kamrup administration conducts series of field staff conferences

RANGIA: "To contribute in enlisting Assam amongst the top five States in the country by achieving the targeted Sustainable Development Goal (SDG)s, all departments in Kamrup district must perform their responsibilities with a well-executed comprehensive plan in their respective fields," District Development Commissioner (DDC) Narsingh Bey said while addressing the officials of various departments of Chayani Barduar Development Block in a meeting held on Tuesday at the District Institute of Education and Training, Kamrup, Mirza.

Kamrup district administration has taken up various measures to achieve the targets of SDGs. As a part of this, steps have been taken to hold a series of field staff conferences by taking the district administration to the grassroots level. The main focus of the conference is to inspire the grassroots level officials as well as to understand the issues and challenges they are facing in implementing the schemes. The series of seven-day meeting for 14 development blocks of the district covering two blocks in a day, was started on Tuesday with the officials of Chayani Barduar Development Block.

Various departments present in the meeting briefed about the implementation of schemes. Presiding over the meeting, DDC Narsing Bey interacted with the grassroots level officials. In the context of his speech, Bey urged all to set a timeline for achieving the goals. Further, he said that if executed every responsibility in a time-bound manner, the Chief Minister's vision to include Assam in the list of top 5 States of the country would certainly be achieved and Kamrup should be an ideal district in this regard. The next field staff conferences for other blocks will be held on September 24, September 28, September 30 and October1, October 5 and October 8, 2021, stated a press release.
