Karbi Anglong administration held Task force meeting on COVID-19 vaccination

HOWRAGHAT: A task force meeting on COVID-19 vaccination was held by the Karbi Anglong district administration on Saturday in the Deputy Commissioner's conference hall here. The task force meeting was chaired by NG Chandra Dhwaj Singha, Deputy Commissioner of Karbi Anglong. During the meeting, major line departments of the district and representatives of World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF and UNDP were also present. UNDP representative Dr N Sarma briefed about the COVID-19 pandemic in India as well as in Assam.

Dr Kareng Rongpipi, Joint Director, Health, Karbi Anglong informed that the first phase vaccination would be given to the frontline departments like medical, Anganwadi workers (ICDS), and police forces as well as those who are above 50 years of age.
