DONGKAMUKAM: KSA (Karbi Students' Association) activists of Jengkha head branch at Jengkha in West Karbi Anglong under Kopili Constituency on Tuesday took out a protest march at Chengbong against non-fulfilment of their demands.

The KSA members led by Rukasen Tisso (president) on Tuesday morning with placards in their hands protested against KAAC MAC Pawan Kr Ray, who according to them has failed to bring any kind of development in the area.

"The road Chengbong Chaiphura to Umlet is a populated area and adjacent to it has five to six villages where several hundreds of villagers perform their daily activities, and this road is the main economic lifeline, and despite of several requests for black topping of the road in these five years, nothing was done," the KSA leader said.

"Along with the students, patients has also suffered a lot," Tisso said. Even no job card work for villagers and no PMAY(g) works were done, he said. "In the coming MAC election Pawan Kr Ray should not get BJP ticket," KSA president Rukasen Tisso said.
