Kazipara Jama Masjid of Dhubri included in govt's 'Assam Darshan' scheme

Guwahati: The historic Kazipara Jama Masjid of Chapar, Dhubri, has been selected as one of the beneficiaries for the 'Assam Darshan' scheme of the state government.

As per reports, this was declared by Bilasipara East Constituency's MLA Ashok Kumar Singhi. Appearing unexpectedly at the mosque premises, he informed the Masjid Committee about this development.

Under the scheme, a one-time help of 10 lakh rupees will be offered to the Committee. Moreover, an annual help of Rs. 2.5 lakh shall also be given.
