Khatkhati Police recovered stolen vehicle along interstate Assam-Nagaland border

BOKAJAN: The Khatkhati Police have foiled a bid to smuggle a stolen Mahindra KUV vehicle along the interstate Assam-Nagaland border here on Monday.

"Our patrolling team intercepted the vehicle bearing registration number AS 01BY 6838 in the Lahorijan area of Assam-Nagaland border and on verifying it was found that the vehicle have been reported stolen from the Garchuk area of Guwahati," SDPO John Das said.

"We have arrested the driver Akshay Nath and further investigation is on. A case has already been registered at Garchuk PS vide C/No-700/2020, U/S- 406/420 IPC and OC Garchuk have already been informed regarding the recovery," the SDPO added.
