Kokrajhar district administration organized workshop on good governance

KOKRAJHAR: As part of the Good Governance Week (Sushasan Sapta)-Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore, 2022 of the department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances of the Government of India, Kokrajhar district administration recently organized a workshop on how to address public grievances and provide services to the public.

During the programme, Prof. Sandip Das, Dean, Faculty of Sciences of Bodoland University, delivered an address on One District One Product (ODOP) Mushroom and its usefulness for health, including economic aspects. The heads of various departments like Public Health Engineering, APDCL, Sericulture, Water Resources, Health and Family Welfare, Public Works, Agriculture, Panchayat and Rural Development etc also highlighted various achievements and activities of their department through power-point presentations.

The workshop also discussed the BTC and Kokrajhar district administration's special initiatives like 'School Adoption' to improve the academic atmosphere in the district, 'Jwthwn'- for taking guardianship of SAM/MAM (Severe Acute Malnutrition/Moderate Acute Malnutrition) babies by government officials and 'Infrastructure Snapshot Kokrajhar App'- an effective e-governance tool. The entire programme was planned under the leadership of Varnali Deka, Deputy Commissioner of Kokrajhar.

Additional Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, other officials and staff of district administration were also present in the meeting.
