Kokrajhar John Bosco Catholic Church to celebrate silver jubilee on January 14

KOKRAJHAR: Stage is all set to celebrate the closing ceremony of the silver jubilee of John Bosco Catholic Church, Kokrajhar, with a day-long colourful programme on January 14. Kokrajhar John Bosco Church started its journey in 1997.

As part of the programme, Rev. Thomas Pulloppillil, D.D. Bishop of Bongaigaon Diocese, will preside over the Eucharistic celebration along with Rev. Thomas Menamparambil SDB, Archbishop Emeritus, and Rev. Fr. Januarius Sangma SDB, Provincial of Guwahati, and many other fathers of the region. During the closing ceremony at 9.20 a.m., there will be a welcome of guests by Rev. Fr. Fransis Basumatary, followed by a prayer dance from Auxilium Convent, Kokrajhar, “A walk through 1997-2022” and “Towards a New Parish,” to be led by Rev. Fr. Joseph Palamthattel, and a dance presentation by Parish Youths. Fr. Januarius Sangma, SDB, Provincial, Guwahati Province, will lead the Parish fraternal community, followed by Adivasi dance, while “Words of a Visionary” will be given by Rev. Thomas Menamparambil, SDB, Archbishop of Emeritus. Meanwhile, Rt. Rev. Thomas Pulloppillil, DD, Bishop of Bongaigaon, will release the souvenir and Parish diary, followed by a holy Eucharistic celebration and fellowship meal in the evening.
