DHUBRI: Kolkata Dhubri Sammilani, a registered socio-cultural organization, started a colourful cultural programme through virtual mode titled 'Sharad Arghya' from Thursday.

The programme was inaugurated by Dr Sanat Kumar Saha, president of the Sammilani, who welcomed the participants with a hope that this virtual presentation of cultural programmes would be enjoyed by everyone connected with Kolkata-Dhubri Sammilani.

"This is our first initiative of this kind and I think beginners will be benefited from this platform of cultural activities where many renowned and reputed artistes will perform," said Dr Saha.

The programme will be held on Saturdays, i.e September 19 and September 26, and October 3 and October 19 from 6 pm to 6.30 pm. The programme highlights and participating artistes would be featured in the Facebook page of 'Amader Dhubri', a source said.

Dr. Sanat Kumar Saha added that all the artistes belonged to the group itself and were widely popular for their passion in their respective art forms. "This will be the first of its kind virtual online programme considering the ongoing pandemic," he added.
