LAKHIMPUR: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Lakhimpur, Assam Agricultural University, on Wednesday organized an Animal Health Camp at Pathalipahar under the project titled as 'Livelihood Improvement of Livestock Farmers of Assam through Year Round Fodder Cultivation and Preservation', sponsored by ICAR–Indian Grassland and Fodder Research Institute (IGFRI), Jhansi. The programme was held in collaboration with Block Veterinary Dispensary, Narayanpur under Department of Veterinary & Animal Husbandry.
The treatment camp was conducted and officiated by Dr Arindam Chakraborty, Co-PI /Subject Matter Specialist (Animal Science), KVK, Lakhimpur. Dr Jyoti Pawan Chutia, Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, Narayanpur , LK Nath, SMS (Agronomy) and H.Gogoi, SRF (ARYA),KVK, Lakhimpur were among those who were present in the camp along with other officials of the State department. A total of 112 animals were treated against various disease conditions and various livestock supplements were distributed among the animal owners.
