Krishi Vigyan Kendra Dibrugarh starts quality seed production of Sali paddy

DIBRUGARH: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Dibrugarh has started the process of quality seed production of Sali paddy especially the certified seed production of Ranjit Sub-1 in two developmental blocks of the district during the 2021-22 and for this Kendra has distributed foundation seed free of cost in the right time to cultivate 10 hectares of area.

While visiting and interacting with the beneficiary farmers of the Khowang area, Senior Scientist and Head of KVK Dibrugarh Dr Diganta Sarmah assured them that Kendra will provide all sorts of possible help and technical guidance for effective production and marketing of quality seed of Ranjit Sub-1 for their betterment. The Course Director of the programme Hemchandra Saikia who is also an expert in Agricultural Economics informed the participant farmers that in Assam there is great demand for the quality seed of Ranjit Sub-1 variety of Sali paddy as it is a very high yielding variety
