Haflong: The Kuki Inpi Assam (KIA), the traditional highest court of appeal of the Kukis of Assam, has strongly condemned the alleged inhumane and uncivilized action meted out on Seijahen Changsan, a government employee under DIPRO, Haflong, Dima Hasao on Tuesday without any reason and provocation, stated a press release.
The press release stated that Changsan attended office as the Principal Secretary (N) of NCHAC had issued a strict order that each and every employee should attend the office during the indefinite bandh called by IPF. In the evening as he, along with his colleague Samuel Nampui, came out from the office, they met a group of Dimasa youths on the main road in front of the District Library Auditorium. Although he told them that he was a government employee, the youths attacked them with sticks. Seijahen was allegedly beaten mercilessly until he became unconscious while his friend managed to escape with some injuries.
The Kuki Inpi Assam has vehemently condemned such type of barbaric activity and urged the law enforcement agencies to book the culprits involved in the incident. The KIA has also demanded adequate compensation for Seijahen for his medical treatment and restoration of health.
