Kuki Students' Organization Assam condemns burning of house, threat to Molsang villagers

HAFLONG: The Kuki Students' Organization expressed its displeasure and shock at the burning down of a house at Molsang village in Dimphai area (Diger MAC constituency) under Maibang Police Station and the subsequent threat to the villagers to vacate their homes in three days, by few gun-toting miscreants, stated a press release issued by Information and Publicity Dept, KSO (A) on Thursday.

The release stated that such an act of barbarism had no merit in today's world and must be heavily condemned by every section of the society. "KSO Assam, as a concerned organization, appeals to the authorities to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice as soon as possible, and also to provide maximum security to the threatened villagers as well as rehabilitation for the victim. KSO Assam also appeals to other civil societies to register their disdain of such cowardly acts. Also, it is an appeal to all citizens from KSO Assam to maintain peace and harmony by any means," stated the press release.
