TINSUKIA : In sync with the observance of 3rd anniversary of National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020), the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Tinsukia regional office organised a press conference at KV Tinsukia on Friday. Initiating the discussion on NEP-2020, Chandrasekhar Azad Deputy Commissioner Guwahati region and also holding additional charge of KVS Tinsukia region while welcoming the media persons, introduced the vision of NEP 2020 and outlined the innovation introduced and steps taken up in KVs in the past 3 years in line with the new education policy.

Sarjubala Devi, assistant commissioner of KVS Tinsukia region gave a detailed presentation on the initiative of KVs in various components of NEP-2020 in national level with special reference to Tinsukia region. In her deliberation she talked about different modules and apps like Vidya Pravesh, NIPUN Bharat, NCF FS, Vidyanjali portal, PM e-Vidya etc. She also informed about the efforts that have been made in the development of best educational environment and technology like smart classrooms, e-learning platforms, Atal Tinkering Lab in KVs across the country including 6 KVs in Tinsukia region. Apart from providing vocational education for skill development in classes 6 to 8, the subjects like IT and AI are being included in secondary classes, said Devi adding that KVS has been imparting training for its teachers focusing Fundamental Literacy & Numeracy, Toy Based Pedagogy to ensure joyful learning in the primary classes.

The conference was addressed by Rajesh K principal JNV Tinsukia who shared best practices, Linuma Gogoi district programme officer SSA besides others. The programme was attended by heads of different CBSE affiliated schools, state government schools, functionaries of education department and experts.
