TANGLA: The people of Tangla town are facing acute problems due to the sorry state of affairs of Central Bank of India (CBI), Tangla branch. The branch, which lacks an adequate number of staff, is currently functioning with five people - the branch manager, assistant manager, cashier and two clerks. Obviously, these five bank officials have not been able to cater to the needs of the customers. There are only two counters, one for depositing and another for withdrawal in the branch, catering to more than 7,000 customers of the bank spread across Paneri, Bhergaon, Hattigarh, Ghagra, Harisinga and several other areas of Bhergaon subdivision.

What has added to the woes of the consumers is the congested space and non-functional air-conditioners. The branch lacks a separate counter for senior citizens, lacks proper drinking water facilities and sanitation facilities. Customers have alleged that the bank officials are negligent towards their duties and have sought the intervention of higher authorities for providing adequate staff and better services.
