Ladakh students’ team visits Kokrajhar To Study BTC administration

KOKRAJHAR: A delegation of five students of Ladakh led by Liaison Officer Urgain Nurboo arrived at Kokrajhar on Sunday to study the functioning of BTC administration and strategy of the council to develop the area.

The students’ team comprises of Rinzin Dorjay, Thinlay Nurboo, Stalin Chophel, Tsring Angchok and Jigmet Paljore. The study tour of the delegation has been sponsored by the administration of Ladakh Union Territory.

The delegation team visited Central Institute of Technology (CIT), Bodoland University, Kokrajhar Government College, Bodoland Movement Martyrs’ Cemetery and Joint Directorate of Sericulture on Monday.

They also visited Bathou Thanshali, Baganshali of Kokrajhar in the evening and held discussion with the Bathou religious leaders.

Later, the delegation called on the student leaders of ABSU and Bodoland Students’ Union (BSU) at their respective offices and held talks on various issues.

Liaison Officer Urgain Nurboo said the administration of Ladakh Union Territory sponsored the study tour. The objective of this tour is make the students aware about the functioning of the BTC administration, its funding structure, budgetary structure, fund raising, mobilization of centrally sponsored schemes and development of region.
