LAKHIMPUR: “The Lakhimpur district administration and Health Department have made elaborate arrangements to carry out the Ayushman Bhavah campaign across the district. This was stated by Lakhimpur District Commissioner Sumit Sattawan in a press conference on Friday. The press conference was held regarding Ayushman Bhavah’s campaign in the conference hall of his office.

Addressing the media persons, the District Commissioner said, “The Ayushman Bhavah campaign is an umbrella initiative for enhancing awareness about various health care schemes like Janani Sishu Suraksha Karyakram (JSSK), Janani Suraksha Yojna (JSY), Wage Compensation Schemes for Tea Garden pregnant women, various free-of-cost vertical programmes, etc., and to saturate critical health care services in rural and urban areas. It includes Swachhta Abhiyan, blood donation camps, and pledges for organ donation. This initiative involves a set of interventions that include “Ayushman-Apke Dwar 3.0’, ‘Ayushman Sabhas’, ‘Ayushman Melas at the health and wellness level, and Medical Camps by Medical Colleges at CHCs’, and eventually ensuring Gram/ Nagar Panchayat or Urban Ward to attain the status of ‘Ayushman Panchayat’ or ‘Ayushman Urban Ward’ in saturation mode”.

He further informed that during this campaign in Lakhimpur district, four numbers of CHC-level Ayushman Melas would be held in Boginadi Model Hospital, Laluk Model Hospital, Narayanpur Model Hospital, and Telahi Model Hospital, starting from September 23. On the other hand, two Extended Ayushman Melas will be held in tribal areas, namely Ghunasuti High School and Ujjalpur High School. Six PHC-level Ayushman Melas will be organized in Matmora SD, Rampur PHC, Garhsiga SD, Simaluguri SHC, Seajuli MPHC, and Keyamora MPHC, while 616 HWC-level Ayushman Melas will be held at all HWCs in Lakhimpur district.

“We have planned to organize blood donation camps in six hospitals, namely Narayanpur Model Hospital, Dhakuakhana SDCH, Ghilamora CHC, Boginadi Model Hospital, Nowboicha CHC, and Bongalmora CHC.
