Lakhimpur DC Dr. Jeevan B gets shot of COVID-19 vaccine

LAKHIMPUR: Deputy Commissioner of Lakhimpur, Dr. Jeevan B got COVID-19 vaccine administered on Wednesday.

At a time, when a section of prominent people and figures have showed hesitation and their reluctance to have the COVID-19 vaccine administered by expressing their apprehensions regarding the side effects of the vaccine, a host of high-level officers of Lakhimpur district have come forward to be vaccinated. Among them are Additional Deputy Commissioner Bipul Kumar Das, Assistant Commissioners Rima Koushik and Pradip Kumar Trivedi, who got vaccinated on the same day along with the DC. All of them were vaccinated at North Lakhimpur Civil Hospital.

After being vaccinated, the DC appealed to all to come forward to be vaccinated as per schedule in order to combat the highly contagious coronavirus pandemic. Along with him, District Immunization Officer (DIO), Dr. Gunin Kumar Gogoi also appealed to all to make the COVID-19 vaccination drive successful for the sake of securing human health.
