Lakhimpur district unit BJP, BJYM all set to celebrate PM Modi's birthday

LAKHIMPUR: Along with the National Committee and Assam State Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Lakhimpur district unit of the political party will celebrate the 71st birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi from September 17 under a programme titled as 'Sewa Aru Samarpan Abhiyan'. In this connection, the Lakhimpur district unit BJP has chalked out a series of programmes with the aim of rendering service to the people, society and the nation.

It was declared by Phanidhar Baruah, the president of Lakhimpur district unit of BJP, at a press meet convened at North Lakhimpur Press Club on Thursday in the presence of Zila Probhari Gobin Saikia and other district committee office bearers. In the press meet, Phanidhar Baruah further stated that the party members would offer xarai of prasad at the Shiva Mandir of North Lakhimpur town on September 17, on the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, praying for his good health, long life.

"This programme will be conducted at three worship places under Naoboicha LAC by party dignitaries and members on the same day. Similarly, the same programme will be conducted at the namghars, mandirs and other worship places under the mandal and booth-level committees under both Lakhimpur and Naoboicha LACs on September 17," the Lakhimpur district unit BJP president said.

On the other hand, the party members will conduct vaccination drive on September 17 in Naoboicha and Lakhimpur LACs, Swachhta Abhiyan at River Ranganadi on September 19, distribute fruits and food items among the inmates of Maitree Ashram and Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital on September 20 under Lakhimpur LAC. Meeting will be organized on September 25 in each booth under Lakhimpur and Naoboicha LACs on the occasion of Dindayal Jayanti while cleaning drive will be conducted at 25 ponds and rivers on October 2 under the Lakhimpur LAC.

Similarly, fruits and food items will be distributed among the Divyang, inmates of orphanage, old-age homes under Naoboicha LAC on September 20 and September 21. Cleaning drive will be conducted at 20 places under Naoboicha LAC on October 2.

On the other hand, the Lakhimpur district unit of Janata Yuva Marcha (BJYM) also has initiated special programmes to observe the Prime Minister's birthday, Phanidhar Baruah stated in the press meet. The district BJP unit, BJYM members will hold Nava Bharatar Nava Bikash Mela at Ahu Chaol Gaon Ranga Mancha on September 19 and September 20. The BJYM members will organize blood donation camp at Laluk Model Hospital on September 27, Swachhta Abhiyan at 71 places across the district on October 2, NAMO quiz competition at Madhavdev University on October 4.
