In line with the World Population Day, which falls on July 11 every year, the Janasankhya Samadhan Foundation (JSF), Lakhimpur District, has demanded the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to implement a stringent Population Control Act in the nation.

LAKHIMPUR: In line with the World Population Day, which falls on July 11 every year, the Janasankhya Samadhan Foundation (JSF), Lakhimpur District, has demanded the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to implement a stringent Population Control Act in the nation.

In this regard, the organization submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister through the Deputy Commissioner of Lakhimpur by highlighting the dangerous possibility of a Civil War in the country resulting from the rapid demographic imbalance.

While talking to the media persons, the workers of the JSF, Lakhimpur district, informed that they, along with the JSF workers from across the country, would assemble at the JSF Camp located at Delhi-Ghaziabad border on September 22 of the current year with Signature Sheets (collected from different parts of the country), supporting the Population Control Act and would march in a rally towards the PMO at 9.00 am on September 23.

It is mentioned in the memorandum that, in the event of disagreement to initiate the process of enacting the Population Control Act, the JSF would continue indefinite demonstration from September 23 onwards.

The JSF workers, Lakhimpur district, the Janasankhya Samadhan Foundation has been campaigning in more than 400 districts of 23 States of the country for the last 9 years under the leadership of its National President Anil Choudhury. The campaign has received support from its mentor Indresh Kumar, National Executive Council member of the RSS, Cabinet Minister of India Giriraj Singh and 125 Members of the Parliament.

It is to be noted here that a joint delegation of the JSF and the MPs had called on the President of India on August 9, 2018 and had submitted a ‘Demand Letter’ containing the signatures of 125 Members of Parliament in support of a stringent Population Control Act.

The JSF workers of Lakhimpur district, under the leadership of Dr. Kanan Sebak Khandayatray, District President, Anindita Borthakur, President of the Women’s Wing and Lakhyajyoti Sharma, President of the Youth Wing, were present in the programme while submitting the memorandum.
